Classic Wisdom from the Upanishads

* Watch your thoughts; they become words.
* Watch your words; they become actions.
* Watch your actions; they become habits.
* Watch your habits; they become your character.
* Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

Aldous Huxley called it the Perennial Philosophy. The truth seekers of every generation rediscover it but it has been around forever; advice that is as good today as it was 5000 years ago:)

A great teaching, thank you. It is often attributed to "Frank Outlaw". I believe that may be a signal that it was stolen. In other words the author wasn’t looking for attribution but gives a hint that it is a rewording of a pre-existing teaching. Obviously, total supposition on my part. I have often seen it attributed to the Upanishads, as you do here. Do you have a reference for where this quote is from in the Upanishads? Reading the accompanying source material may also be helpful.
